19 things worth doing · ranked by default weights for your role
Tanking is not what simc measures, so nothing here carries a DPS figure — the ranking is by stat weights alone.
Slots wearing something that takes an enchant and has not got one.
2 unenchanted slots, priced as one job and measured as a single sim rather than by adding the rows below up — secondary stats scale against each other, so the whole is not quite the sum of the parts. These are the picks it was simmed with: Hands and Main hand are left out of this figure: their enchants are procs with no stat line, so the weights have no pick to combine and the sim settles those slots one row at a time.
Chest has no enchantWarsculptor's Furred Plastron is unenchanted.
Enchant Chest - Mark of the Worldsoulby your stat weights
Hands has no enchantWarsculptor's Crushers is unenchanted. None of these carries a stat line — they are procs and effects — so the sim picks between them rather than the stat weights.
Ring 2 has no enchantDevout Zealot's Ring is unenchanted.
Enchant Ring - Silvermoon's Tenacityby your stat weights
Main hand has no enchantPathfinder's Stonecarver is unenchanted. None of these carries a stat line — they are procs and effects — so the sim picks between them rather than the stat weights.
Head has no enchantVisage of Hidden Stars is unenchanted. These offer leech, run speed or avoidance rather than anything your spec scales with: worth applying, and it will not move your damage.
Shoulder has no enchantWarsculptor's Horned Spaulders is unenchanted. These offer run speed, avoidance or leech rather than anything your spec scales with: worth applying, and it will not move your damage.
Sockets waiting on gems, and slots that could be given one.
2 unfilled sockets: Head and Ring 2. Put in Indecipherable Eversong Diamond and Flawless Quick Lapis. One Eversong Diamond is all you may wear — they share a unique-equipped category — and the rest spread across colours on purpose. Filling every socket with the same gem scores one colour and wastes the diamond entirely. The other candidate is Powerful Eversong Diamond, and which wins is what the sim is for.
Neck, Waist, Wrist and Ring 1 have no socket at all. A Venomous Jeweler's Setting adds one, and a socket is a gem you would not otherwise be wearing — plus another colour toward a diamond's bonus. Eligibility is a rule the armory does not publish: these are the slots this roster has actually been seen carrying an added socket, so check the item in game before buying the setting.
Dungeon teleports, earned by timing that dungeon's key at +10. Permanent and account-wide.
0 of 8 done. Each is earned by timing that dungeon's key at +10 — the "Keystone Hero" achievement — and is permanent and account-wide once earned. It is the reason to time a key rather than simply finish it.
The delves left at the tier you are working on. Each is a one-off.
9 of 12 done at this tier. Each is a one-off, and the ladder's lower tiers are already behind you.
1 of 8 done this week. This week, by our count: no delves and no raid bosses — the week, not any one quest's progress. Transcribed from a maintained addon and checked against Blizzard's own quest records — single-source.
Silvermoon's weekly. Pays gear on the Champion track and renown toward the Court's reward track. (Silvermoon Court)
The Amani weekly, and the cheapest one to finish if you are short on time. (Amani Tribe)
Harandar's weekly, and the one that feeds the relic chain. (Harandar)
Feeds the Research Console, which is the only way to upgrade the Crucible of Erratic Energies. (The Singularity)
Zul'jarra's weekly, at the current patch's zone. (Zul'jarra's Forces)
The second Zul'jarra weekly — a separate reward from Turn Back the Surge, not an alternative to it. (Zul'jarra's Forces)
Slayer's Duellum weekly. Worth it even for a PvE character — the reward is on the gear track. (Slayer's Duellum)
Long-running achievements that unlock nothing on their own.
1 part left.
Reference, not advice — nothing here is asking you to do anything. Every system this expansion ships and how much of each one is visible from outside the game, because the folio sat untouched for weeks purely because nobody knew it existed. The list is from Blizzard’s own achievement and quest categories rather than a wiki, and every link goes to a page that verifiably exists: Wowhead answers 200 for guide URLs that do not.
Five studies that permanently upgrade your character. Nothing gates them and nothing expires — all five are open, in any order.
The studies count comes off the achievement, so this page shows exactly where you are. The powers themselves appear in no endpoint.
The Amani Tribe's event in Zul'Aman: an offering cycle that pays out to everyone taking part when it fills.
Whether it is running right now is map and widget data, which the profile API does not carry — an addon has to read it off the client. The Amani weekly that feeds it is in the list above.
Named hunts at Normal, Hard and Nightmare. Nightmare pays gear on the Hero track.
Blizzard files these under their own achievement category and tags the quests "Prey", so a kill shows up once it is turned in — but the hunt table itself is client-side.
Repeatable ritual events around Quel'Thalas, with a progression of their own.
Quests carry the "Ritual Sites" category, which is the only reliable way to spot one — several are not flagged weekly even though they are.
Rotating zone assaults. Its own achievement category, so it is a system rather than a one-off event.
Seen when an assault quest completes. The rotation and what is up now are not published.
Solo or small-group dungeons on eleven tiers. Tier 11 pays Myth crests, repeatably, and the weekly quest is the largest single lump of crests outside a raid lockout.
Counted for the week from your lifetime total, the same way the vault page does it. The Gilded Stash and Trovehunter's Bounty are client-side.
A house, a neighbourhood, and weeklies attached to both. A root achievement category of its own.
Blizzard tags the weeklies "Neighborhood". The roster has completed thirteen of them, which is how this list found the system at all.
"Tailoring Services Requested" and friends — one per profession, every week, for knowledge and currency.
Tagged "Professions" on the quest record. Easy to miss because they are picked up from a board rather than announced.
Replayable story scenarios, with an achievement category of its own.
Cosmetic and story rather than gear, and listed here only so it is not a surprise later.
